The wait is finally over for thousands of aspirants as the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the admit cards for the highly anticipated civil services prelims 2019.
The prelims will take place on the 2nd of June, 2019 and it is the first step of a three-step examination process for recruitment into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS) among other posts.
The admit cards can be downloaded from the official UPSC website. To access these admit cards, the aspirants must log in with their registered credentials.
The admit cards come with the UPSC’s mandate of no usage of any kind of electronic devices/gadgets such as mobile phones, Bluetooth or any other form of miscellaneous items in the exam hall. This will help maintain a level playing field for all the aspirants in the exam so that they can perform to their fullest potential.
Apart from the general instructions mentioned on the admit cards, the UPSC has issued some important guidelines that the students should take note of. According to the official notification, only black ball point pens will be allowed in the exam hall, and that any rough work must be done on the provided leaflets.
The candidates will have to bring a valid original id card for the purpose of identity verification such as Aadhaar card, Driving License, Voter ID, or any government issued id.
The feasibility of the exam and the authenticity of the information provided by the candidates is checked through the bio metrics system of the UPSC.
It is vital for the aspirants to turn up at the exam center timely as the exam hall shall close fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled time and no late entry shall be permitted.
