2023 has been a year of tech innovation, especially when it comes to the entertainment sector. In gaming, for instance, some of the most highly anticipated games of the last couple of years such as Street Fire 6, Diablo IV or Fire Emblem Engage only saw the light of day in India this year. But there are a lot more launches from the tech field with a 2023 release date, so today we’re having a look at what we consider to be the most iconic ones so far.
Samsung’s Second Generation QD-OLED TVs
Samsung’s S95C TVs are the second-generation version of the brand’s Quantum Dot OLED tech debut last year. With a 144Hz refresh rate and a 0.1-millisecond response time, this TV is arguably one of the best tech releases of the year so far.
With streaming being the primary way to watch films nowadays in India, the demand for top-notch quality TVs has never been higher and streaming on smart TVs has never been trendier, especially considering how easy it is to watch any on-demand content from any country. For instance, if the film you want to watch is not available in India, you can use a VPN like ExpressVPN to change your location, allowing you to stream in whatever country you wish.
Besides the S95C TVs, Samsung also released the MicroLED and Neo QLED models this year – there’s never been a finer selection of TVs available to watch your favorite films and TV shows. What a great year for streaming!
Dyson Zone
The next tech release on our list is the Dyson Zone. Its premise sounds somewhat strange at first – a combo of headphones and an air-purifying mask –, which already received some negative criticism, but we’d say the brand’s first venture into audio is a promising one.
This gadget consists of a pair of noise-canceling headphones and an air-purifying system in the form of a detachable mask. Even if the price to pay (besides the whopping $1000) is walking around looking a little silly, this still is a ground-breaking way of listening to music in your daily life, especially for people living in countries with low air quality.
PS VR2
Released in February 2023, Sony’s PS VR2 is finally out. It includes a headset, two controllers and stereo headphones. The price is what has garnered the most controversy around this console – as pointed out by TechAdvisor, it costs more than the PS5, which has been out for three years already, but we still think its creators crushed it.
This new launch is a visible upgrade from its predecessor. In terms of the design, it has a sleeker and slimmer look, which was inspired by the PS5. It’s also got brand-new features such as a lens adjustment dial and a new vent to keep you cool while playing for long hours. All in all, the consensus online is that it did not disappoint, and we couldn’t agree more.
From wireless charges and portable external drives to monitors and laptop backpacks, 2023 has been a great year so far for tech gear releases. And we’re only now in the second half of the year, so surely there are still plenty of new launches that will awe us in 2023.
