The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results of the 12th Class board examination for the academic year 2021-2022. The exam was conducted between April and May.
Students have worked hard for months to prepare for the exams and finally their hard work has paid off. The board examinations have been positive for most of the students.
The overall pass percentage for the examination was 88.78%, an increase from last year’s pass percentage of 83.4%. The pass percentages of the regions across the country have also increased from last year.
The Northern region had the highest pass percentage of 90.69%, followed by Southern region with 89.45%, Western region with 88.53% and Eastern region with 85.57%. The girl students have outperformed boys in the examination with a pass percentage of 91.14%.
The merit list of the board examination was posted on the official website of CBSE. The top three rankers of the 12th Class board examination are Shubhanshu Sharma from Delhi, Sonakshi Mahesh from Ghaziabad and Lakshaya Madan from Gurugram. They have secured 499 out of 500 marks in the examination.
The board also conducted vocational examination for both 12th and 10th Class. The overall pass percentage for the 12th Class vocational examination is 77.32% and 51.85% for the 10th Class vocational examination.
