The National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) recently released its much-anticipated 2017 results. According to a press release, a total of 3.42 million candidates had taken the NCVT written and practical exams, of which 2.54 million students were eligible to take part in the results.
The NCVT is one of the most respected vocational training institutions in India and certifies candidates with trades and skills in the non-agricultural sectors. It is affiliated to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and provides students with valuable skills and specialized knowledge in the fields of engineering, architecture, fashion, textiles, hospitality, rubber, leather and cosmetic trades as well as other skilled trades.
This year, NCVT was delighted to announce that the results for 2017 yielded an overall pass rate of 87.86 per cent, an increase from last year’s rate of 86.9 per cent. Of the 2.54 million eligible candidates, over 2.2 million students who sat for the exams succeeded in passing the exams with flying colours.
