Goa Board Exam Results 2016-2023: Latest Education News
Today, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) declared the Goa Board Exam results of students appearing for their School Leaving Certificate (SLC). Students belonging to different batches of 2016-2023 appeared for their exams which began in May and ended in June.
The overall pass percentage of the SLC examinations this year was 89.72%. Girls outshone boys in their performance with a pass percentage of 91.38%. Around 30,012 students appeared for the Goa Board Exams this year among which 27,073 students were declared successful i.e passed the exams.
Among the 30,012 students appearing for the examination, 16,591 were from Class 10 and 13,421 from Class 12. The results of Class 12 can be accessed from the official website of the GBSHSE i.e http://www.gbshse.org. The overall pass percentage of the Class 12 students was 90.12%.
In Class 10, the North Goa district performed better than South Goa district. The overall pass percentage of the North Goa district was 93.38% whereas in South Goa the pass percentage was 86.40%. The top two performers in Class 12 were Akash Sawant and Siddharth Nair who acquired 94.20% and 93.80% marks respectively.
The GBSHSE has notified the students to collect their marksheet and passing certificate from their respective schools after the exams or online from the official website.
The GBSHSE chairman, Prasad Lolayekar expressed his satisfaction with the results. He congratulated all the students who have passed the exams and wished them all the best for their future endeavours.
