The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), India’s most prestigious board for school education, has released results of the first term examinations for Class 12 students. The CBSE class 12 term 1 exam was held from 11th September to 14th October, 2020 and the results were announced on 10th December.
The examinations were held in a staggered pattern, with higher secondary students appearing in their respective classes one day at a time. The online exams covered topics like English, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Mathematics and other practical experiments. The exam was conducted in 492 centers across India, in compliance with all Covid-19 related protocol.
Despite unprecedented challenges faced by students due to the pandemic, CBSE class 12 results were on par with that of the previous year. The girls had a slight edge over boys yet again, as the overall pass percentage for girls was 83.12%, as compared to 77.14% for boys. Odisha had the highest pass percentage with 88.23%.

During this exam period proper guidance and motivation was provided to all the students which made it possible to perform well in the exams”.
