The CBSE 10th result 2020 was declared on July 13, 2020. This year, the overall pass percentage of CBSE 10th class students was 91.46%. The top performing regions were Trivandrum with a pass percentage of 99.28%, Chennai with a pass percentage of 98.95%, and Delhi with a pass percentage of 97.32%. A total of 18,89,878 students had appeared for the exams this year.
Exam Overview and Analysis
The CBSE 10th class exams were conducted in the months of February and March 2020. The exams were conducted in a total of 15,309 centers across the country. This year, the board had also introduced a new system of grading for the exams, which was based on the student’s performance in the exams. The new system of grading was based on the cumulative performance of the student in the exams and was designed to provide a more holistic assessment of the student’s performance.
The board also introduced certain measures to ensure the safety of the students during the exams. These measures included the use of face masks, social distancing, and the use of sanitization products. The board also made arrangements for online exams for students who were unable to attend the physical exams due to the pandemic.

The CBSE board has made arrangements for students to check their results online from the official website of the board, at www.cbseresults.nic.in or www.results.nic.in/. The students can also get their results through SMS and Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).
The CBSE board has announced the list of top 25 performers who scored the highest marks in their respective regions or across the entire board.
Satwik Maharishi from Bhilai, Chhattisgarh has scored the highest marks with 499 out of 500.
The board has taken into account the hardships faced by students due to the pandemic and has decided to provide grace marks to those who were unable to appear for a few subjects due to the lock down.
The CBSE board has also made arrangements for granting verified digital mark sheet to all the passing students. The software, DigiLocker, can be used by students to download the mark sheet from the CBSE website.
The board has advised students to collect their mark sheets from their respective schools. The board has also issued a circular, informing the respective schools of the verification procedure of the mark sheets.
