Due to the new trend of Staycations, people are falling in love with the nation all over again as they visit some of the most beautiful destinations that the US has to offer.

A nation full of diversity, the US has everything you could ever need as a vacation destination. Whichever time zone you are in, there is truly something for everyone whether you are travelling on your own, with friends or with family.

However, with so much to offer it can be hard to narrow down your favoured destination. Look no further as here we will go through three destinations that will make you fall in love with the US again.

    Colorado

Colorado is known for national parks, skiing and baseball. However, when it comes to their world series odds, the Colorado Rockies are among the biggest underdogs in their league due to the mighty opposition, but this doesn’t make their home stadium Coors Field any less special, with an impressive capacity of over 50,000.

Regarding their national parks, visitors are truly spoiled for choice. The state is home to four parks — Rocky Mountain, Mesa Verde, Great Sand Dunes and Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Each of them come with their own unique quirks and qualities.

The Rockies has high mountain lakes and streams and peaks reaching 14,000 feet. This park is one for the nature lovers too with thousands of acres of forests that is home to an abundance of wildlife.

Mesa Verde is home to the largest cliff dwelling in North America. What is most incredible about this park however is that it houses the living quarters of the Ancient Puebloans, of which have been preserved for hundreds of years.

The lure of the Great Sand Dunes speaks for itself with the tallest dune reaching 750-feet. The dune field stretches over 30 square miles and also contains a four-wheel driving trail.

Finally, the Black Canyon gorge, first discovered in the 1700s, holds millions of years’ worth of history. Its inner canyon has been etched by the Gunnison River for over two million years which can be explored on foot or through climbs and kayaks.

    Florida

For those who are perhaps looking for more of a party atmosphere for their staycation, there are few places in the world better for this than Florida.

It has been the destination of choice for millions of young Americans on spring break for decades. Full of beautiful beaches, clubs and cultural events it is clear to see why so many have flocked to the state in the name of fun.

Miami Beach is of course one of the most popular landmarks. Its palm-lined beaches stretch across the entire city with South Beach the best for those who want to experience the nightlife.

All of this is not to say you can’t relax in Florida however with North Miami Beach perfect for those who want to relax in the sun on a sandy beach with cool water.

There is no shortage of beach towns in the state and Navarre Beach has been named as ‘Florida’s most relaxing place’ and one of the most popular places in the nation to purchase a beach house.

Florida is of course home to Disneyworld and Universal Studios in Orlando too. One of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, the historic resorts/theme parks have something for the entire family to enjoy.

    New York

New York is one of the most popular tourist destinations for citizens around the world. When it comes to city breaks, you would do well to find a more sought-after part of the US than New York City.

The number of notorious landmarks in NYC is enough to fill a dictionary sized book with each one just as worthwhile as the other. One of the most iconic is the Statue of Liberty, which stands tall on Ellis Island and is accessible by ferry.

The Empire State Building’s main deck observatory on the 86th floor provides a 360 view of many of the boroughs of New York and even has a telescope allowing you to get up close and personal with what NY has to offer.

The sightseeing opportunities are endless whether you’re in on the top of the Empire State Building, in Times Square or on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Central Park or the Bronx Zoo are great to visit when the sun is shining but the city is just as beautiful in the winter, when you can visit Rockefeller centre for the ice-skating rink and the incredible 82-foot tall Christmas tree.

Great food, bars, clubs, museums, and events are on offer all year round and in the city that never sleeps you will never struggle to find something to do.
