    Axis Bank is one of India’s leading private-sector banks. It has a diverse range of financial products and services. Since its establishment in 1993, it has grown significantly over the years. It offers services such as retail banking, corporate banking, loans, wealth management, and various other financial products. Axis Bank operates through a network of branches across India and also has a presence in international markets. The bank is known for its innovative offerings, customer-centric approach, and technological advancements in the banking sector. To make it easy for both its employees and customers, the bank sets some timings for different banking activities. 

    Axis bank timings during weekdays

    Axis bank timings on all weekdays that is from Monday to Friday is from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Customers can visit the bank anytime during this working hour to carry out any the banking activities. The said timing may vary from branch to branch depending on its location.

    Axis bank timings on weekend

    The bank remains closed on the 2nd and fourth Saturday. However, it remains open from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday. Sundays are normally closed. Keeping these timings and holidays, customers can plan their visit accordingly.

    Axis bank lunchtime

    Axis Bank branches have a lunch break between 1 PM to 2 PM, but it’s customary for the bank employees to operate in shifts, even during these lunch hours, to maintain continuous service. To be on the safer side, it’s recommended to visit the branches either before or after the usual lunch hours unless it’s an urgent requirement.

    Other banks like Bank of Baroda open a little later. On weekdays that is from Monday to Friday, Bank of Baroda opening time is 10:00 AM and it closes at 3:30 PM. Customers can visit the bank anytime during this working hour to carry out any the banking activities. The bank remains closed on the 2nd and fourth Saturday. However, it remains open from 10 AM to 3:30 PM on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday. Sundays are normally closed. Keeping these timings and holidays, customers can plan their visit accordingly.

    Axis bank timing during Lockdown

    During the COVID-19 lockdown, Axis Bank adjusted its operational hours in adherence to government directives. The bank operated from 10 AM to 2 PM on weekdays, although these timings might have differed across branches. To ensure safety measures like social distancing, the bank functioned at limited capacity, not exceeding 50%. Customers were encouraged to minimise visits to branches as a precautionary measure. After the 2023 lockdown, Axis Bank went back to its regular hours like most other banks in India. They’re usually open to the public from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, but these hours might differ a bit in some places.

    • PNB Bank: Opens at 10:00 AM, Closes at 4:00 PM
    • Bank of Baroda: Opens at 10:00 AM, Closes at 4:00 PM
    • HDFC Bank: Opens at 09:30 AM, Closes at 3:30 PM
    • ICICI Bank: Opens at 09:30 AM, Closes at 3:00 PM
    • Axis Bank: Opens at 09:30 AM, Closes at 3:30 PM
    • Kotak Mahindra Bank: Opens at 09:30 AM, Closes at 4:30 PM
    • IndusInd Bank: Opens at 09:30 AM, Closes at 5:00 PM
    • Yes Bank: Opens at 09:30 AM, Closes at 4:30 PM
    • Union Bank of India: Opens at 10:00 AM, Closes at 4:00 PM
    • Bank of India: Opens at 10:00 AM, Closes at 4:00 PM
    • Bank of Maharashtra: Opens at 10:00 AM, Closes at 5:00 PM
    • IDBI Bank: Opens at 10:00 AM, Closes at 4:00 PM
    • Central Bank of India: Opens at 10:00 AM, Closes at 4:00 PM
    • Andhra Bank: Opens at 10:00 AM, Closes at 4:00 PM
    • Federal Bank: Opens at 10:00 AM, Closes at 3:30 PM
    • Karnataka Bank: Opens at 10:00 AM, Closes at 4:00 PM

    Axis Bank NEFT Timings:

    This is a convenient way to transfer fund. In this type of transaction the fund is credited instantly as it also says Real Time Gross Settlement. With this transaction, you don’t have to wait for the amount to be credited. 

    For Axis Bank account holders, NEFT transactions can be done online anytime, 24x7x365. If someone can’t access the internet, they can visit an Axis Bank branch between 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM to submit a form for offline NEFT transactions.

    Axis Bank RTGS Timings:

    As of December 14, 2020, RTGS transactions can be done round the clock, approved by the RBI, including 2nd and 4th Saturdays and all bank holidays. There is no upper limit for RTGS transactions and there is a minimum limit of 2 lakhs. So, you can go for this transfer option if you wish to transfer larger amount of money.

    Axis Bank IMPS Timings:

    Similar to NEFT and RTGS, IMPS timings for Axis Bank are also 24×7, allowing customers to transfer funds at any time, including holidays. IMPS stands for immediate payment service. It is for instant and real-time fund transfers which can be initiated anytime including weekends and holidays. IMPS allows customers to transfer funds instantly using their mobile phones and Internet banking.

    Axis Bank UPI Timings:

    UPI payments through Axis Bank are available anytime, facilitating easy transactions for retail and corporate purposes, even on holidays.
