    As the long-awaited dates for the 2019 Gate admit card have arrived, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) aspirants are in a frenzy of excitement.

    The GATE admit card 2019 was released on Friday by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, from which the GATE 2019 is being conducted. The admit card is available on the official Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Web site.

    Candidates must bring their admit card along with valid photo identification (Identity Card) at the GATE 2019 examination centre. The admit card is generated online against each candidate’s enrollment number, along with instructions for the examinations.

    Aspiring candidates must download their admit cards as soon as possible to avoid any last-minute glitches.

    The GATE 2019 exam will be held on February 2, 3, 9 and 10 in two separate shifts – morning and afternoon. The morning session will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while the afternoon session will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

    It is important for aspirants to thoroughly review their admit card prior to the test, to check details such as their name, photograph, signature, examination venue and date, time, etc. and ensure that all of these are correct.

    The day and time of the exam is printed on the GATE 2019 admit card, according to which candidates have to be present at their respective test centres at the time of the exam.

    The GATE exam is conducted for admission to post-graduation in engineering and technology programmes of participating universities and institutes in the country.
