The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently released the results of the 10th board exams. This year, a total of 18,89,878 students appeared for the examinations, and the overall pass percentage was recorded at 91.46%. This is a slight decrease from the previous year, when the overall pass percentage was recorded at 91.10%.

The pass percentage for girls is 94.13%, while the pass percentage for boys is 89.33%. The overall pass percentage for private schools is 92.15%, while the pass percentage for government schools is 87.40%.
The CBSE also released the list of toppers for the 10th board exams. The toppers are:

- Anushka Chandra from Delhi Public School, RK Puram
- Shreyansh Singh from Delhi Public School, Gurgaon

For the first time in history, the 10th CBSE result was released online across the nation on June 13th. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the 10th CBSE result, 2019 as Class 10 examinations, which were held in the month of March for almost 31 million students who had registered for the examination this year.
The overall pass percentage of the 10th CBSE result was 91.1 percent, with a total of 3171337 students clearing the examination successfully and 285753 passing the examination with flying colours, by scoring more than 95 percent marks. The states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh witnessed the highest pass rate of 97.32 percent, 92.45 percent, and 78.93 percent respectively.
Moreover, South Delhi topped the chart among 8 regions with a pass percentage of 98.55 percent. This year, a total of 14 students got a perfect score of 99.9 percentile, out of which 11 were boys, and 3 were girls. Girls have outshined boys with 82.71 percent passing, while boy accounted to 86 percent.
It is true that the pass percentage of the 10th CBSE result was slightly less than that of 2018 as it was 91.1 percent as compared to 2018’s pass percentage of 91.1 percent. However, the overall passing rate being above 90 percent is still applaudable, considering the ever-increasing competition in the field of education and the mounting pressure that the students competed under.

As the students manoeuvre their way out of the hazardous decade of education and step into the 11th standard, they do so with their heads held up high, and with the knowledge that they belong to a reputed educational board.
