The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the 10th CBSE Result 2022 will be announced on June 7, 2022. This upcoming result will follow the new academic year format, which was announced by the board to address issues that emerged due to the protracted COVID-19 pandemic.
CBSE class 10 results are usually declared in the month of May or June every year, but due to the continued restrictions from the government, schools have not been able to reopen, and this led to multiple changes in the academic calendar of 2021-22. This has forced the board to revise the dates for the results declaration for classes 10 and 12.
According to the revised schedule, the class 10 examinations will begin in May, with the first few subjects being examined in the first week of May. The exams will conclude on June 5, 2022. The practical and project oriented assessments will be conducted in the third week of April, which will allow the board to prepare the results in time for their June 7 release.
The board has also revised the passing criteria for Class X. The students will still need to score a minimum grade of 33% in Theory and Practical/Practical Subjects separately. However, the passing criterion has been relaxed for the Board’s Examinations this year. Now, the students must secure 33% marks either in theory and practical separately or in the combined aggregate of both.
The CBSE is yet to announce the details of the results declaration process but it can be expected that the board will follow the usual pattern of publishing the results on their official website, followed by SMS and IVRS. Students can also expect to access their results through the DigiLocker app.
The board is yet to announce the dates for the Class 12 examinations and results. However, considering the timeline of the revised schedule for the Class X exams, it can be expected that the board will similarly announce the dates for the Class 12 outcomes in a month’s time.
CBSE’s revised schedule offers students the opportunity to complete their studies on time and allows them to prepare themselves better for the upcoming Board Exams. Students are therefore advised to make the most of the additional time granted by the board and apply their best efforts to ensure the best possible results.
